House guests = becoming reacquainted with souls you haven't visited with for far too long

Well we've almost reached the end of February, but yet another unexpected twist of life's journey and fate has occurred (at least in my world).

I have a house guest. I haven't hosted a house guest in quite some time, but this is an experience I welcome - both out of curiosity and a need for a divergence from my personal form of "normal". I won't lie - it's nice to have a bit of company for a while.

Though I do have my personal apprehensions and warnings from a few external sources - I've learned to listen to my gut in such situations, and though I will retain "eyes wide open" - I do tend to be an adrenaline junkie and have a need for some adventure from time to time.

My house guest in my view, is a kind soul with well meaning intentions along with a dash of ambition - someone who just might be a kindred spirit to my own.

So I cleared out my office for my guest... transformed it into temporary (and hopefully comfortable) living quarters, made a list of completely OCD "house rules" and am letting life take it's course.

When you have a strong and developing trust in God, Jesus and the Universe - it becomes increasingly easier to "let go" and "go with the flow". It's 2012 - I deserve a little fun.

2012 has arrived and I'm quite excited as to what's in store for my life this year. January will be a month filled with fresh starts...I'll be turning 33 in 6 days, I've launched a new webcast of which I anticipate will do quite well and I will continue to build and develop my current online ventures.

I've settled on which fitness certification program to study. My goal is to launch my personal training business by the summer - I have a feeling I'll have a solid client base in the city I've settled in.

My plate is quite full as of current, but there's always room for more delicacies.

I love December and I love true winter. It's so crisp, fresh and sparkly. I can almost taste this season - it's like a winter-green Tic-Tac :)

My life is progressing quite nicely at this time. My energy level is very high, because I've fine tuned my already healthy diet a bit more.

I've also limited myself to enjoying wine no more than once a week (if that), have increased my water intake AND have ceased being a casual smoker (that's right - I'm nicotine free).

I've been very busy with my various blogs, art and business endeavors. I feel quite organized and productive going into the new year and am very excited as to what 2012 has in store.

Merry Christmas everyone :)

I always love this time of year. The moment we round Halloween corner into the true holiday season it's as though there's magic in the air. Mentally and creatively I'm operating at "full throttle" - however rather than going on and on about my ideas and thoughts - I'll just post this little clip from The Wiz featuring Diana Ross and Michael Jackson (it pretty much illustrates how I feel).

As I move forward through life (as if I or anyone else really has a choice - I still haven't seen any time machines on Yahoo shopping) I'm finding far more things comedic and entertaining than I used to.

I laugh at myself much more. I also find my negative feelings in regards to events and people from my past funny now days - primarily due to my realization of having placed far too much importance on things that really don't matter when it comes to the "big picture" of life.

This is an interesting phase to reside in.

Maybe I'm reaching true happiness. Who knows...at least I'm smiling more and am having some fun.

The only thing missing is a partner to be happy and have fun with.

It definitely feels like October. The weather has begun to cool a bit where I live, crates of pumpkins have been set up outside of the local supermarket and I'm noticing lots of ads on the various websites I frequent for online costume shops.

This is the month that ushers in the holiday season, which is always my favorite time of year - but unfortunately being a single woman it can be a bit lonesome as well. I'd thought that by now, I'd have met "the one" and have at least started a family of my own, but for some odd reason my life hasn't taken that path - at least not as of yet.

At times I'm bitter when I think back to a couple of the "false starts" I've experienced that I thought surely were the path to starting a family unit of my own, but when I thoroughly examine each of those situations - I am actually glad that they didn't develop. I wasn't ready, and the men I've dated have never been what I really need in a partner.

My last long term relationship is the only relationship I've ever had of which I'd like to have a continuation of. I felt that particular man was my soul mate, but that somehow I'd just met him at the wrong time - too early in my view. There were many events and influences that I felt pushed and pulled that particular relationship off course - one event in particular (of which I was never able to explain in detail to him about due to shame - that I think he took as rejection, but shouldn't have considering that I was sexually assaulted by someone, which is what lead me to make the choice that I did). Maybe it was meant to be that way, but in my heart I don't believe that it was. I often pray for solid closure in regards to that time of my life.

September was a major stepping stone for me because I came to the realization that I have to shield myself a bit more from people who will stunt my growth. I decided to cut everyone out of my life that I met over the past 3 years (with the exception of 2 people). I don't regret having lived in Los Angeles or having chosen the professional path that I did, but I do regret having dealt with the majority of people who crossed my path. Certain people I've gotten to know have been the true definition of "frienemies" but hey, it's better to know now than never, and I feel great to have freed myself from such losers.

I've FINALLY learned that one generally can only be friends with others who are moving along in life at the same pace as yourself, and who have the same values as yourself. Sure you can be acquaintances with other types of people but not true FRIENDS. For example - I'll never be friends ever again with a bored housewife, who doesn't have to work and who can't figure out (due to lack of wanting to actually feel anything real) why the child she abandoned doesn't connect with her.

Anyways, to conclude I have a lot of personal goals and projects as usual to work on and complete this month so I'm amped up. I have nothing but time, so I'll continue to fill that time with as much worthwhile activity as possible.

Manifestation Focus

Today I shipped off another piece of art I was commissioned to paint. I'm starting to find it a bit difficult to send away my artwork - I suppose because my art is a piece of my being - however I know this particular piece will wind up in a very good home.

Well, it's September and I have nothing to do this month but work, create and share my thoughts.

I've opened a new online art store: www.Etsy.com/shop/AlexandraMayers - I'll be uploading my newest piece tomorrow.

I found a new beer I really enjoy called Shock Top Raspberry Wheat - it's quite the experience and literally the perfect party in a bottle for a single woman who lives alone with her Shih-Tzu and Albino Peachfaced Lovebird.

A part of me is waiting to see where life will take me from here. Though I'm not unhappy, I'm not satisfied at all and I most definitely hope something or someone wonderful and irresistible arrives soon to take me away on another great adventure. I'm ready to go.

Final thought for this blog: I wish writer and comedian Larry David had a twitter account to follow - I think I understand why he doesn't...

Harmonizing with the frequency of calm.

I've relocated to another part of the country that physically is seated at over twice the elevation of Los Angeles, and it seems not just so physically - but possibly spiritually as well.

Everyday I wake up and the sun out my window appears twice as bright as it was in California, and that brightness is reflected in my mood and attitude. I can see the change in the mirror, and consequently in the eyes of my pets, and that says quite a bit.

I can now attest to the truth of how sometimes regardless of how much we want to force things to work out, in some cases it's simply better to cut your losses and move more with life's flow which may wind up being in a totally different direction. That's what I'm in the process of doing and it's working out better than I'd hoped.

I'm becoming quite the "re-locator", which is not something I want to necessarily become an "expert" at being that I feel the innate pull within nowadays to settle down, but hey, at least it's something I have in my skill set to draw upon whenever necessary.

Life is calm - so calm that I have to make an conscious effort not to create waves and ripples needlessly. I suppose it'll take time for my vibrational frequency to harmonize with where the universe has been gracious enough to place me so I'll simply be patient. Patience is something my time in Los Angeles taught me, whether I like to admit it or not.

As of late, I've simply been feeling great. We're only mid month, however I've put quite a bit effort into bringing a couple of my projects to a close, so it's nice to see that they're finally drawing towards completion.

I'm very glad that I held off on releasing my second book series, because being that it's outlining factual events, a few things that have taken place in regards to the subject matter just recently, finalize issues I touch on early in the timeline of the series. I suppose the subject matter of the book is one that's ever evolving, but the perspective of which I wrote the book from, did require (in my current view), a bit of closure.

Life has been quite busy this month, so I'll give an update as to how July tied together in next month's posting.

Busy

We've finally entered the second half of 2011 - we're less than 6 months away from the much anticipated 2012 and I must say I'm feeling great about exactly where I am in life.

This week (like last week) will be very busy. Along with continuing with my personal projects, I'm set to work with DT wrestling again on Wednesday. Then on Friday I have another interview scheduled.

I encourage all of you to check out my most recent interview with Bibi Jones (Digital Playground's newest contract girl) - she's a young entertainer on the rise and I'm looking forward to watching her career progress in a positive direction.

Over the next few years to I'll have the opportunity to assist in the development of young "up and comers" who have decided to take the chance and give the world of entertainment a try. It's a difficult path to take, but well worth the journey (even if not in the most obvious of ways).
